‘Under the Auspices: The concept of “auspices” (from the Greek “aegis”) originates from ancient Greece, where the “aegis” was initially the skin of a goat, and by extension the shield, when it was covered with such skin. Ancient Greeks used it to cover their bodies and for defense, as it provided extra protection when used as a covering for their shields. It symbolized protection, omnipotence, and support. In modern times, the term retains this meaning of official protection, support, indicating that an entity provides its recognition and backing to an event ΄
